On Saturday, December 13, 2025, with the blessing of Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey, the parish of Kimisis tis Theotokou in Holmdel, New Jersey hosted the annual Metropolis Christmas Concert. The evening began with a set of Greek and English carols performed by the Kimisis Youth Choir under the direction of Lucy Milonas.

The concert featured traditional songs, carols and selections from Handel’s Messiah performed by the New Jersey Chamber Orchestra & Choir under the direction of Maestro Dimitrios M. Fousteris.

Following the performance, parish proistamenos, the Very Rev. Archimandrite Fr. Avgoustinos Psomas, thanked His Eminence and wished him and all in attendance a Blessed Christmas. “It was a night filled with light, beauty, and sacred joy—a true foretaste of the Nativity of our Lord”, he noted in a post, adding, “as the hymns and music of the season filled the church, our hearts were lifted in thanksgiving, unity, and hope. The warmth of fellowship and the shared joy of celebrating Christ’s coming into the world made last night an evening to remember”.

Metropolitan Apostolos thanked Fr. Avgoustinos and the community of Kimisis Tis Theotokou for their hospitality. He congratulated Maestro Fousteris and the musicians for their exceptional performance. In his address for the concert, His Eminence expressed the following: “As we listen to these sacred melodies, let us allow them to prepare us inwardly for the Feast. The Child born in the humility of the cave invites us to receive Him with the same humility of heart. As the Psalmist exhorts us, “Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth” (Psalm 95:1 LXX). May our song tonight become a renewal of our faith, our families, and our commitment to the life of the Church”.

The evening concluded with a festive reception, where the community welcomed all present to continue the celebration together.
