It’s not uncommon for designers to design for multiple fashion houses simultaneously. Although, recently, many are opting to trim down their workloads. Jeremy Scott left Moschino, but still has his namesake label to express himself. Glenn Martens just departed Y/Project (which is currently for sale) and is devoting all his efforts to his role over at Diesel. Now it’s just been announced that Kim Jones is leaving his position of artistic director of Fendi.

Jones had tough shoes to fill taking over after Karl Lagerfeld‘s passing. The British designer was in charge of ready-to-wear, haute couture and fur for the Italian label. No word on what’s next for Fendi, although Silvia Venturini Fendi will stay on as creative director of the accessories, men’s and children categories. It’s a family affair as her daughter Delfina Delettrez serves as the brand’s jewelry designer.

Jones can now focus all of his energy on Christian Dior where he’s in charge of the French fashion house’s menswear endeavors.
