Killy Sfakianakis, the wife of popular Greek singer Notis Sfakianakis, has passed away at the age of 62. Reports indicate she had been dealing with a chronic health issue.
The tragic event occurred on Sunday evening, when Killy Sfakianakis was rushed to a hospital in southern Athens without a pulse. Despite the exhaustive efforts of the doctors, they were unable to revive her. An autopsy is expected to be performed today to determine the exact cause of death for the 62-year-old.
Her death has shocked the family, as Killy had attended a family gathering just one day prior, with nothing foretelling of her untimely passing. The tragedy occurred on a particularly poignant day, as it was also her husband Notis’ birthday; he turned 66 yesterday.
Notis and Killy first met in 1984 on the island of Kos. She was a British tour guide at the time. They quickly became a pair and married in 1991. They went on to have two children, twins, whom they named Apollon and Aphrodite.
