Next year is shaping up to be one filled with music and celebration, with several Greek artists announcing tours across Australia’s major cities.
First to arrive will be Kelly Kelekidou, who is set to tour Australia in January alongside Nikos Zoidakis.
Kelekidou, a popular laïko singer with roots in Kokkinokhoma, Kavala and Chamilo, Kilkis, rose to fame through hits such as “Glyka, glyka glykiá mou,” “Ma to Theo,” “Se vgázo ákuro,” “Sygkentrosou,” and “M’agapás, s’agapó.”
She has collaborated with top artists including her husband Nikos Kourkoulis, Kostas Karafotis, Dionysis Makris and Kostas Martakis, with whom she has performed notable duets.
Between 2014 and 2018 she lived in Darwin with her family due to professional commitments before returning permanently to Greece. Kelekidou is known for her lively energy and dynamic stage presence.
Touring with her is Nikos Zoidakis, who promises an authentic Cretan feast of music, traditional sounds blended with laïko favourites.
Born and raised in Chania, with roots in Vouvés, an area rich in cultural tradition, Zoidakis was influenced early by legendary Cretan musicians. He began playing the lyra at nine and performed at his first celebration at just twelve. Since then, he has appeared countless times across Greece and abroad.
His first album was released in 1985, and he has since contributed to over 20 records, collaborating with many renowned Cretan artists.
Katerina Lioliou will also tour Australia in 2026.
Born on 17 April 1994 in Thessaloniki, Lioliou began music at a young age, learning guitar and piano. She is a graduate of the Aristotle University’s School of Philosophy.
She first appeared on the music scene with the band Chic ‘n’ Blues, before becoming widely known through The Voice, which launched her professional career.
Lioliou has released a series of successful singles, including “Ήταν Λίγο,” “Τα Συνηθισμένα,” “Μεγάλα Λόγια,” “Δεν Με Νοιάζει,” “Story,” “Η Ψυχολογία Μου,” “Το Κατερινάκι Σου,” and “Μη Ρωτάς Τους Άλλους.”
She has also shared the stage with major artists such as Antonis Remos, Despina Vandi, Sakis Rouvas, Stelios Rokkos, Nikos Vertis, Giorgos Sabanis and Thodoris Ferris.
Lioliou will perform in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney throughout March and April 2026.
