Yesterday, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame revealed that The Black Crowes are among the nominees for rock’s highest honor in 2025 for the first time in their four-decade career. Today, the band is back to celebrate its long and storied run with a 25th anniversary repress of their unforgettable live collaborative album Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes: Live at the Greek.
Set to release on March 14, this reissue of the combo’s three-night run at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre and Jones Beach in October 1999 boasts a whopping 36 classics from the catalogs of Led Zeppelin and the Crowes, including 16 previously unreleased recordings. The unprecedented team-up is presented like never before here with a full remaster by producer and engineer Kevin Shirley, exclusive behind-the-scenes photos, never-before-seen video and much more.
To preview the anniversary edition, Page and The Black Crowes have shared advance singles “No Speak No Slave” and a previously unheard recording of the blues staple “Bring It On Home” –famously featured on 1969’s Led Zeppelin II–that show the rock icons pooling their talents for treatments of longtime fan-favorites. “No Speak No Slave” is accompanied by newly uncovered footage of their ripping and soulful live performance; watch the video below.
“I’m really looking forward to the soon to be available release of Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes material from concerts in 1999,” Page shared. “The new mixes capture the collaboration of those historic encounters and provide the full explosive passion and exciting energy of those alchemical moments.”
The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson reflected, “The new Live at the Greek box set brings the whole experience of our work with Jimmy into a vibrant, electric, mystical and powerful perspective. Hail, hail rock ‘n roll!”
Lead guitarist Rich Robinson echoed: “Going through the shows and putting together the new box set has been such an incredible dive back to that time in our history. It was a once-in-a-lifetime thrill to play these amazing iconic songs with the man who composed them. The sound of the new mixes and extra songs blew me away when I first heard them.”
