Jet2 travel rules and entry requirements for France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Turkey

Annually, thousands of UK holidaymakers choose Jet2, the nation’s third-largest carrier, for their overseas journeys. As summer approaches, a time when many people head out for a well-deserved break, Jet2 is updating its customer guidance in preparation.

With France, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey ranking high on the list of favoured spots, Jet2 ensures that travellers are kept informed with the latest travel rules and advice for each destination. On the subject, Jet2’s website advises: “Before travelling to your destination, please check the latest entry requirements as they may differ depending on your: destination, nationality, and your travel document type. For all the latest information, please visit the FCDO website.”

Here’s a snapshot of the current travel requisites for France, Greece, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey, according to Jet2’s updates.

France

Jet2’s recent updates reveal no extra Foreign Office guidance or regulations for those headed to France at this time, reports the Liverpool Echo. The Jet2 advice reads: “Without a visa, entry is permitted for a maximum stay of 90 days in a 180-day period.”

Greece

On a similar note, people visiting Greece face no additional Foreign Office directions or stipulations currently. The Jet2 policy explains: “Without a visa, entry is permitted for a maximum stay of 90 days in a 180-day period.”

Portugal

For those bound for Portugal, Jet2 provides clear instructions: “Without a visa, entry is permitted for a maximum stay of 90 days in a 180-day period. Young people under the age of 18 require a letter of authorisation when departing or entering Portugal, including Madeira, without their parent or legal guardian.

“This letter must bear the signature of the parent or legal guardian and, under certain conditions, may need to be legally certified. You can download the form here and you’ll be asked to present your completed form at the airport. For further details, please refer to the Portuguese government website.”

Spain

Similar to France and Greece, travellers bound for Spain are not subject to any additional Foreign Office guidelines or requirements, as per the information available at the time of publication. The Jet2 website clarifies: “Without a visa, entry is allowed for a maximum duration of 90 days within a 180-day period.”

This applies equally to those travelling to the Balearic Islands and Canary Islands.

Turkey

For those planning a holiday in Turkey, the Jet2 website specifies: “Without a visa, entry is granted for a maximum stay of 90 days within a 180-day period, and your passport must be valid for at least 150 days from your arrival date.”
