With the conclusion of the Terza Serata of the Sanremo Festival 2025, all participating artists have now presented their songs to the Italian public twice. This prestigious festival will ultimately determine the artist who will represent Italy at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, set to take place in May in Basel, Switzerland.
The night opened with an electrifying performance by Italian rock legend Edoardo Bennato, who delivered his classic hit “Sono solo canzonette” in one of the most dynamic festival openings under the direction of Carlo Conti. The renowned artistic director was accompanied by three co-hosts:
- Katia Follesa – actress and comedian
- Elettra Lamborghini – popular singer
- Miriam Leone – actress and former Miss Italy
Special Guests of the Terza Serata
The third night of Sanremo 2025 was undoubtedly one of the most memorable, especially with the appearance of the legendary band Duran Duran on the Teatro Ariston stage. They performed some of their greatest hits, including “Invisible”, “Notorious”, “Ordinary World”, “Girls on Film”, “Psycho Killer”, and “The Wild Boys”. The biggest surprise of the night was the participation of Victoria De Angelis, former Måneskin bassist, who joined them on stage.
Additionally, Ermal Meta performed “Vietato morire” on the Suzuki Stage.
Another standout moment was the honoring of Iva Zanicchi by the city of Sanremo for her lifelong contribution to Italian music. She delighted the audience with performances of her iconic songs “Non pensare a me”, “Ciao cara come stai”, and “Zingara”.
The Nuove Proposte category
Following the main competition, the Young Artists category final took place, featuring Settembre and Alex Wyse. The winner was determined by a combination of votes from:
- Television audience (34%)
- Press, TV, and Internet Jury (33%)
- Radio Jury (33%)
Ultimately, Settembre with his song “Vertebre” emerged as the winner of the categorym receiving 52.5% of the votes.

The Terza Serata Rankings
As in the Second Night, the rankings were determined by a 50-50 split between television audience votes and the Radio Jury.
At the end of the evening, the top five artists in the rankings were announced.
