If any one says galactoboureko is lying …..
That’s crazy
What did he sayyyy!!!!🤦🏻♂️
Even cacik is turkish not tzatziki
It's not galaktobureko it's called laz böreği and it's from northern black sea region of turkey it's not a hellenic dessert.
Canoli is so blend , really nothing special. Galaktoboureko if you know how to kake it is my favourite dessert. Compares to nothing. Same for spanakopita, a good spanakopita is miles ahead of arancini
Bro he asked what is galaktoboureko and you said honey 😂😂 it is a vanilla cream inside of a pastry baked in the oven and then deeped in syrop
Galaktompoureko has no opponent, if you have tried a really good one in Greece you would know the difference. Probably the best Greek dessert
I'm half southern Italian and I like Greek food better. That's fine because I consider myself half ancient Greek anyway
Anche gli italiani amano il cibo greco comunque
Honestly I love spinakopitawbut I had arancini at the st Francis festival or whatever in Boston by bofas mahket and it may have beaten it. Arancini is no joke I probably ate 4 of them and was STUFFED
Fun fact, galaktoboureko and baklava both descend from the ancient Greek dessert plakous, a layered cake that was filled with milk/kaymak, nuts or both and drizzled with honey. They were consumed during harvest festivals (milk, nuts and honey represent health, fertility and blessings), especially ones coinciding with seasonal shifts, and similarly today we consume these during Christian holidays of the same time periods (Christmas and New Year's, Easter, Pentecost snd Monday of the Holy Spirit, Dormition of Mary etc). At the same time, the ancient Greek galaktoboureko (plakous meloménē tetyroménē "layered cake with honey and cheese curdles") is the earliest recorded version of a cheesecake.
