Supergiant Games revealed that action roguelite Hades II will exist Early Access and fully release for PC on September 25, 2025. In addition, the game will be released digitally for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on the same date as a timed-console exclusive. Physical Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions of the game will be available November 20, 2025. The developer also announced that the game will have cross-save functionality between its PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 versions.
Hades II and its predecessor are inspired by Greek mythology, particularly its underworld. The game takes place some time after the previous game, though no knowledge of its events will be required. Players control Melinoë, the immortal Princess of the Underworld and sister of previous protagonist Zagreus, as she faces off against the Titan Chronos’s forces.
