Come on guys, stop hating each other for occurrentes that happened centuries ago. If these occurrentes weren't recorded, we would probably best friends cuz we are so similar. Stop arguing with each other and accept that these foods are part of our common culture.
When I saw Turks and Greeks accusing each other of stealing food and culture in the comments, I was reminded of how similar the two nations are.
u should stop arguing about whether these dishes are Greek or Turkish. Most of these dishes were created in the Ottoman period in cities where Turks and Greeks lived together. In other words, these dishes were known and made by Turks and Greeks since they exist. The two nations drifted apart but continued to cook the dishes they made together in their homes, so these dishes are products of a common Turkish-Greek culture. Greetings from 🇹🇷 to 🇬🇷
