Greek music star Konstantinos Argiros was welcomed at New South Wales (NSW), Australia, Parliament on Friday by Premier Chris Minns and Ministers Courtney Houssos and Sophie Cotsis, marking the finale of his Australian tour, The Greek Herald reported.

The meeting began with Minister Houssos’ young son singing a few lines from one of Argiros’ hit songs. Argiros’ sold-out Sydney Opera House concerts, organized by Evan and Sam Pambris of Encore Productions, drew more than 6,000 attendees and generated an estimated $4.5 million economic boost to New South Wales, Paul Nicolaou, executive director of Business Sydney, said.

Argiros called performing at the Opera House “a true honor,” while Minns praised him for bringing “incredible energy and cultural pride” to the state. Ministers Cotsis and Houssos highlighted the performances’ positive impact on the Greek community and the broader public.

The event concluded with photographs and reflections on cultural ties between Greece and NSW. Argiros thanked his Australian fans, saying, “The warmth and energy here were incredible. I’ll definitely be back.”
