Born Alexis Lanaras in the northern port city of Thessaloniki, Lex began his artistic career as a graffiti artist with the crew 2G (Good Guys) before turning to music. In 1999, he co-founded the influential rap collective Voreia Asteria (Northern Stars), which released four albums before its members went solo.

Lex launched his solo career in 2010 and released his debut album “Tapeinoi kai Peinasmenoi” (Humble and Hungry) in 2014. His fourth studio album, “GTK,” was released in November 2024.

Often praised for his raw, politically conscious storytelling, Lex addresses themes such as poverty, inequality, and everyday urban struggles, earning a loyal following despite limited mainstream exposure. [Combined reports]
