Greek pop icon Despina Vandi will perform for the first time at Arena 8888 Sofia on April 23, 2026, the event organizers announced.
With over three decades on stage, Vandi is among the most influential figures in contemporary Greek pop music. Known for her distinctive style, strong stage presence, and emotive performances, she has united generations of fans in both Greece and Bulgaria, the organizers said.
Her Sofia concert will feature her greatest hits, including Gia, Ypofero, Opa Opa, Come Along Now, Thelo Na Se Do, To Nisi, and Girismata, as well as newer songs such as Ya Habibi, Na Ti Hairese, and Pali Pali Panselinos.
Despina Vandi was born on July 22, 1969, in Tubingen, Germany. Her family returned to Kavala, Greece, when she was six, where she completed her secondary education. She later studied pedagogy, psychology, and philosophy at the University of Thessaloniki. Her debut album was released in 1994.
