Greek Musical Ensemble Encardia Features ‘Tarantella Party’ and More at Theatre of the No

ATHENS – A special event took place in Athens October 24 lending traditional music and dancing, inspired from the Greek-speaking regions of Southern Italy.

Encardia hosted its unique Tarantella Party at the Theatre of the NO. The theater came alive with rhythms, colors, and emotions, from songs of longing and nostalgia to the energetic and cathartic dance forms of the tarantella.

Love, loss, anticipation, and return unfold through Encardia’s musical storytelling, highlighted by the hypnotic voice of Natalia Kotsani and led by Kostas Konstantatos.

Drawing inspiration from the tarantella of Salento and Naples, as well as the traditions of the Greek-speaking communities of Southern Italy, the musical ensemble Encardia present a fresh, explosive musical performance blending traditional songs, original compositions, contemporary arrangements, and Mediterranean dances into a single celebratory concert.
