Thank you for this lovely recipe Alex. Just wondering why you don't add the bay leaves and cinnamon sticks to the sauce the meat is cooking in rather than adding it later with the orzo.

Why not continue to cook in the pot that the veggies, lamb, and orzo were in? Why transfer to a different pot?
