Greek festivals highlight the events coming up in the next month.
First is the Oakleigh Glendi next weekend, back bigger than ever celebrating a decade.
Two massive days of food, music, dancing, culture, family fun and community spirit with international headline act Christina Salti to take the stage.

Also next weekend is the first ever Portarlington Greek Festival.
Head over to the Bellarine Peninsula next Sunday for a vibrant program of music, dance, food and cultural experiences.
Headline acts include Anagenisi, one of Melbourne’s most popular Greek bands. There will be food, dance performances, children’s activities, cooking segments, cultural displays and more.
The next day, on Melbourne Cup eve, Village Greek Hotel in Mulgrave goes Greek as SPASTA BAND LIVE perform all your favourite Greek classics alongside party anthems that will have you on your feet all night long.
Djs LAMBROS AND CHRIS G will also be spinning the hottest Greek and commercial Party favourites.
Continuing with the live music in Melbourne, Estudiantina of Melbourne will be at Sooki Lounge on November 15 for a Greek Matinee, while Demotika and Rebetiki ‘reunite’ at the Central Club Hotel in Richmond that same day.
Over in Sydney an event as soon as this Sunday is the St Demetrios Greek Festival in St Marys – a day filled with music, dance, culture, fun for the kids and Greek food.
Panos Kiamos is back in Australia, performing in Sydney on November 15. One of Greece’s most popular laiko singers, you’ll be dancing the night away to chart-topping favourites including ‘Sfiriksa Ki Elikses’, ‘Fotia Me Fotia’, ‘Thelo Na Se Xanado’ and his more recent viral hit, ‘Shik Shak Shok’.

In Adelaide we have another Greek festival this Sunday with the Panigiri Salisbury’s Premier Greek Festival. With food, dancing, live music from Band Kosmos, kids activities and pet farm, you can get your Zorba on and slam down a souvlaki.
Next weekend the Odyssey Greek Festival comes to a close with a free concert by a local 7-piece band.
On November 4 in Brisbane, writer and actor Zoe Terakes, who stars in the Danny and Michael Philippou film Talk to Me and Marvel television series Ironheart, presents a sensual collection of short stories.
‘Eros: Queer Myths for Lovers’ blends Greek mythology with contemporary life, told through the lens of trans and queer experience.
Finally late November will see a live album performance of ‘Iparhi Ke… To Zeibekiko’ by a group of local musicians in Canberra.
The album features featuring the legendary Greek artists Dimitris Mitropanos, Themis Adamantidis, and Dimitris Basis – showcasing a mix of classic zeibekiko songs and other beloved Greek melodies.
