I wonder if the reason pork is the most popular gyro meat in Greece is due to the same factors that made pork a staple of the Spanish-speaking world

Considering I will be going to Greece, very soon, this will prove to be quite useful.
I am from Greece
Interestingly they are both wearing Togas, which although commonly linked to Ancient Greece would not have been worn by the Greeks in any period, the Toga was purely a Roman garment and was very important to the Roman culture, specifically the one they are wearing depicts a Toga Picta (characterised by the red although usually purple stripe) which would have been worn by high members of society, specifically successful generals, emperors and consuls, whereas the Greeks would have worn a couple different items such as chitons, peplos, and himations, no hate just interesting that they are always linked yet likely would very rarely if ever cross paths
Greek food is IMO one of the best on earth, it's got tradition, flavor and simplicity-quality of the ingredients. Something i can especially appreciate as an italian. People should appreciate it much more.
