Greek Festival Returns to Montgomery County with Food, Music, and Family Fun September 5–7

The Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church (721 Norwood Rd.) in Cloverly/Silver Spring is once again welcoming the community to its much-anticipated annual Greek Festival, taking place Friday, September 5 through Sunday, September 7.

The three-day celebration is a highlight of the late summer season, offering authentic Greek culture, food, music, and entertainment for all ages. Festival hours are 4 pm to 9 pm on Friday, 11 am to 9 pm on Saturday, and 11 am to 7 pm on Sunday. Admission and parking are free.

Guests can enjoy a wide variety of homemade Greek dishes and desserts, from crowd favorites like gyros and souvlaki to the ever-popular loukoumades (fried honey puffs). This year, the spotlight shines on three unique takes on baklava: the classic layered pastry, a decadent baklava cheesecake, and a refreshing baklava ice cream.

The festival also features shopping with local Greek vendors offering groceries, jewelry, crafts, and more. Live Greek music will fill the air throughout the weekend, complemented by performances from traditional Greek dance troupes that showcase the energy and spirit of Hellenic culture.

Festivalgoers won’t want to miss the second annual Gyro Eating Contest, hosted by Big Greek Cafe. Another major highlight is the raffle for a brand new 2025 Mercedes GLB, generously donated by Mercedes of Silver Spring. The lucky winner will have the choice between the luxury vehicle or $30,000 in cash.

The event will take place rain or shine, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Maryland Coalition of Families, supporting local families and communities. With delicious food, lively entertainment, and chances to win big, this year’s festival promises to be one of the best yet. Mark your calendars for September 5–7 and come experience a weekend of Greek tradition and hospitality right in Silver Spring.
