This year, the Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Cloverly/Silver Spring will hold its annual Greek festival from Friday, September 5th, to Sunday, September 7th. The festival will be open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Attendees can enjoy homemade Greek food and desserts, including gyros, souvlaki, and loukoumades. Additionally, they can shop at various local Greek vendors selling items like groceries, jewelry, and crafts. The festival will also feature live Greek music and performances from Greek dance troupes. Admission and parking are free.
A few special events are scheduled for the festival, including the second annual Gyro Eating Contest, hosted by Big Greek Cafe. A raffle for a brand new 2025 Mercedes GLB, donated by Mercedes of Silver Spring, will also take place. The winner of the raffle will have the option to accept the car or $30,000 in cash.
The event will take place rain or shine with a portion of all proceeds benefiting the Maryland Coalition of Families.
