A touching moment was filmed at a Konstantinos Argiros concert in Melbourne last weekend when fan Chrisoula Stavroulakis posted a TikTok of her father filming the entire show for her mum who was sick at home.
The video even got the attention of Argiros himself, who reposted it on his Instagram story on Friday morning with the caption: “I wish I could come to your home and sing just for her. I’m leaving Australia now, but I’m taking their love with me. Sending her all my love.”
Chrisoula told Neos Kosmos that the entire thing was a surprise for her mum.

“When mum fell sick the week of the Konstantinos Argiros concert, she couldn’t attend, even though she had been meant to go,” she said.
“Dad, knowing how important these moments are, decided to surprise her by filming the concert.”
She said Greek music has always been at the heart of her family, attending countless Greek concerts over the years creating many memories of laughter, dancing and feeling connected to their culture.

“It was his way of bringing her into the night, making sure she didn’t miss out on what we’ve always shared as a family.”
“That gesture echoes back to their wedding night, when Dad sang “Dikopo Fili” by Antonis Remos to Mum.
“Music has always been his way of expressing love, and it has always been the thread that ties us closer together.”

Talking about the moment, Chrisoula recalled one of her fondest memories, which happened during the COVID pandemic.
“It was such a difficult time for everyone, but especially for Mum, who carries the weight of running her own law firm, Cash and Stavroulakis Lawyers. When the stress was high, Dad would put on our Greek playlist and sing for us all,” she said.

“In those moments, our home would fill with music and warmth.
“For us, Greek music is more than just sound it is memory, tradition, and family all woven into one.”
