The origin of what you call galaktobuereko is "laz pastry" and it is a Turkish dessert. But it's no surprise that the Greeks stole it too 🙂

Just the way my Yiayia Olympea used to make … only to the syrup she would also add orange with the lemon rind and one cap full of brandy to the syrup and at the end she would bless them and say a prayer over. Love your videos. thank you . I learned to make this from my Yiayia and now my son calls this Glaecitc- booty- call ha! ha!
