This year’s August full moon will be celebrated at 114 archaeological sites, museums, and monuments across Greece with special cultural events under the moonlight.

From August 8 to 13, the Greek Culture Ministry has put together a program featuring theatrical performances, music and dance events, stargazing, storytelling, and guided tours—many of them with free admission.

Events will take place at 71 archaeological sites and museums, while an additional 44 sites will remain open to the public with free entry.

“We invite you to enjoy the moonlight on the night of August 9—the night of the August Full Moon of 2025—at archaeological sites, museums, and monuments, marking the 25th year of the celebration,” the ministry said in a statement.
