It seems that the date when Greece will decide both the song and the artist who will represent the country at Eurovision 2026 is almost locked in, and it is February 7.
According to information shared on MEGA’s show Bungiorno by journalist Aris Kavatzikis, Sing for Greece will take place on February 3, 5, and 7. The first two dates will host the semi-finals, while the grand final will be held on February 7.
This information was also confirmed by Eurovisionfun. Sources from ERT stated that, although nothing is official yet, these are the dates they intend for Sing for Greece to take place.
From the beginning, ERT’s intention was for the national final to be held within the first half of February. However, the fact that February 14 includes several other national finals, as well as Valentine’s Day, led to the selection of the first week of the month, with the chosen dates being February 3, 5, and 7.
The ERT team working on the Eurovision project wants to have sufficient time before the Heads of Delegation meeting in mid-March, in order to prepare every detail properly, including the stage performance video, the official music video, and more.
The artists and the songs that will compete in the two semi finals of Sing for Greece, will be revealed on Sunday, 4/1.
