Greece: Submission period for Ethnikos Telikos kicks off this week – Eurovision News | Music

This week, barring any major surprises, ERT will finally publish the announcement for the National Final, which it will hold in order to select Greece’s entry for Eurovision 2026.

Slightly later than originally expected, the submission period for the 2026 national final will begin. In the coming days, ERT will release the announcement—the terms and conditions that will govern the national final—and at the same time, the submission of entries will begin. This process is expected to last for two months (until mid-October).

Although ERT initially planned to launch the process at the end of July, the fact that there is still ample time, combined with certain necessary bureaucratic procedures that had to be followed, as well as the fact that the first half of August is a holiday period, resulted in a short delay of a few weeks.

In fact, over the past few days, ERT’s submission platform went live for testing purposes, so that everything will be ready once the official submission period begins.

It should be noted that the National Final for Eurovision 2026 is expected to include two semifinals and one final, in order to give more artists the opportunity to compete and vie for the honor of representing Greece in Austria.

ERT’s goal for the Eurovision 2026 national final is to correct the mistakes of this year’s effort and present something even more polished on a television level to both the Greek and international audience. For this reason, the process is starting earlier, so that there is ample time for better preparation—both the preliminary stages (submission of entries, selection of participants) and the production of the televised result afterwards.

Eurovisionfun, of course, just like last year, will keep you updated with all the latest news, while also giving a platform once again to every artist/creator who will try their hand at submitting a song for our national final, which returns renewed and more exciting than ever.

Who will succeed Klavdia and her Asteromata? Which artist would you like to see carry the Greek flag in Austria?

Stay tuned to Eurovisionfun!
