Greece introduces inheritance law reforms


Greece has introduced reforms to its inheritance law in an effort to modernise Greek private law, improve procedural efficiency and align domestic succession rules more closely with broader European practice.

Among the reforms is the restructuring of heir liability for estate debts.

Law firm Skandamis Avocats explained Greek inheritance law now adopts acceptance with benefit of inventory as the default position.
