Greece has once again reaffirmed its strong standing in the US tourism market, earning top honors in two major American travel award programs for 2025.

At the 11th Trazees Awards, organized by trazeetravel.com, Greece was named “Favorite Country” for the sixth consecutive year, highlighting its continued appeal among millennial travelers.

Meanwhile, the country was also recognized at the 8th Wherever Awards, hosted by whereverfamily.com, where it received the title of “Best Family-Friendly Multigenerational Destination” for the third year in a row, and was ranked the second most popular Family-Friendly International Destination, following Spain.

TrazeeTravel and WhereverFamily are digital platforms of the American publishing company FXExpress Publications, which also publishes Global Traveler magazine.

While TrazeeTravel caters to millennial travelers (aged up to 40), WhereverFamily focuses on family travel, offering advice tailored to various family types and travel budgets.

Every year, thousands of readers of both websites take part in an open-ended online survey, sharing their travel preferences for U.S. and international destinations, hotels, airlines, airports, cruise lines, digital apps, credit cards, and more. Voting for the 2025 awards ran from September 20, 2024, to May 16, 2025.

The winners of The Trazees and Wherever Awards will be honored at a joint ceremony in Los Angeles on August 19, 2025.

Representing Greece at the event will be Christina Valassopoulou, Consul General of Greece in Los Angeles, who will accept the awards on behalf of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) North America Service.
