Floriana have announced the departure of Greek defender Alexandros Kouros and forward Gabriel Sotomayor, who hails from Bolivia, on Monday.
The Greens are starting to work to assemble a competitive squad to hand over to newly-appointed coach Daniel Portela.
Kouros, 31, made 65 appearances in two seasons with the Greens with two goals and two assists in the process.
“Floriana FC extends its sincere gratitude to Alexandros Kouros for his commitment and contribution during his time with the club. As the club will not be extending the contractual relationship, we take this opportunity to thank him for his efforts, dedication, and professionalism on and off the pitch,” the club said in an official statement.
“We wish Alex the very best in his future endeavours and continued success in his professional football career.”
Meanwhile, Sotomayor joined the Greens during the January transfer window and made 13 appearances, netting two goals and grabbing one assist.
“Floriana FC would like to express its sincere thanks to Gabriel Sotomayor for his commitment and contribution during his time at the club. As the club will not be extending the contractual relationship, we acknowledge the work he put in throughout his time in the green and white,” Floriana said.
“We wish Gabriel the very best for the future and success in his football career.”
