A 49-year-old man was arrested at the Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium in Athens, following the Panathinaikos–Asteras Tripolis soccer match on Sunday, after he allegedly handed his underage son two flares during the game.
The man has been charged with neglect of a minor and violating laws on flares and fireworks.
According to the police, he was identified through the stadium’s security cameras giving two hand flares to his 12-year-old son, who then ignited them.
