Fashion Inc. will present its first fashion show Saturday as a part of the White Squirrel Arts Festival.
Fashion Inc. is a “student organization that promotes fashion awareness and interest in fashion careers throughout the campus and community,” according to its Instagram.
The show is scheduled for 4 p.m. at White Squirrel Brewery.
“White Squirrel Brewery let us have an event under their arts festival schedule and gave our team many creative liberties to help us run this show with the student vision in mind,” Stone said.
The fashion show is one of many performances at the festival. Local authors, poets, artists, craftsmakers and musicians will also be featured.
Fashion Inc. members have been preparing the show for four months. Students Jayvyn Stone and Jeena Carter, the show’s organizers, said preparation involved talking to local businesses, such as Vette City Vintage.
There are many students involved, whether as designers, stylists or other contributors.
“Expect to see experimental and many spring aesthetics surrounding young designers’ creative vision,” Stone said.
The White Squirrel Arts Festival will begin at 10:30 a.m., when vendor booths open, and end after an 8 p.m. musical performance by Aaron Davis & Nate Jones.
“We look forward to welcoming the community in celebration of BGKY’s quirky, eccentric and unique creatives!” the website states.
