Kelly Vranaki’s Generation SK is coming to an end and will be replaced by Eurovision SK, ERT’s new show that will accompany us until May and Vienna. It will also be the platform through which all announcements regarding the national final and Greece’s Eurovision participation will be made. According to our exclusive information, ERT has decided that the announcement of the participants and the songs of the national final will take place through Eurovision SK!
The transformation of Generation SK into Eurovision SK is scheduled for mid-December. Kelly Vranaki, together with the same team she currently has on her show, will take on the new program, which they hope will perform better in the television ratings.
Vranaki already has experience with the Eurovision project, as last year she hosted a special live Eurovision show and also covered the contest journalistically from Basel.
Practically speaking, this means that the announcement of the competing artists and songs for the National Final is expected to occur either on the weekend of December 13–14 or December 20–21—provided ERT’s current planning does not change.
We remind you that ERT’s seven-member committee has already begun listening to the candidate songs, in order to select up to 28 entries that will compete in the two semi-finals.
The national final is expected to take place in the first half of February.
