It was no secret—recent reports had already placed Fokas Evangelinos as the frontrunner for the role of artistic director for Greece’s Eurovision 2025 entry. According to our exclusive information, it is now official: the renowned Greek director will be responsible for staging Asteromata on the Basel stage.
This will be the eighth Greek Eurovision entry directed by Fokas Evangelinos and his 20th overall in the contest. The highly experienced and acclaimed director has already won Eurovision twice as an artistic director—one of those victories being Greece’s historic win in 2005 with Helena Paparizou’s My Number One.
Fokas Evangelinos and his team have already begun working closely with Klavdia’s collaborators and the Greek delegation. With just three weeks remaining until the Heads of Delegations meeting, preparations are in full swing to finalize Greece’s official Eurovision dossier, which must include, among other things, the staging plans for the performance.
Best wishes and good luck from the entire Eurovisionfun team for Asteromata’s exciting journey in this year’s contest—hopefully leading to a triumphant outcome!
