I find this 12 points exchange between Cyprus and Greece stupid, because there are songs from both Greece and Cyprus that may not deserve 12 points. If a song is good, that's ok, but there were times when was like why did Cyprus gave 12 points to this song, or how could Greece give 12 points to this song. Yes, this is a comment from a Cypriot, and I have friends from Greece who say the same thing.

This is such a meme I'm surprised Greece didn't end up giving Cyprus 12 points in a year when Cyprus didn't even qualify just for the lols (or the other way around).

It’s because we are all Greeks, it’s one nation but two separate countries. We even have the same national anthem. If Kosovo participated the same thing would happen with Albania
By the way Turkey and Azerbaijan always gave their 12 points to each other between 2008 and 2012, they don't do it anymore because Turkey stopped participating in 2013.

Scandinavian counties ? Why doesn’t anyone mention them ? Or all the Baltics ? Or the balkans ? Or when all the ex USSR countries voted for Russia ? Cyprus and Greece are only two . They are so many they affected the scores so much they had to bring back the judges . The booing to Greece and Cyprus needs to be stopped or do it for all the others too . Beyond stupid . Of course they ll give 12 to each other. At least they share the same artists which explains it a bit , unlike the rest of the voting blocks .

2) all the Scandinavian countries
3) all the countries from ex=yugoslavia
4) Germany – Austria
5) Turkey – Azerbaijan
6) central Europe countries
and many more "allies"
Almost every country votes according to its politic allies, it is not that big deal anymore
For those who dont know ..Greece and Cyprus is one Nation…in 2 countries…this is the reason why this is happening.

You motherfuckers do not say anything when finland gives 12 points to norway or when romania gives 12 points to moldova
To all those people claiming that it is not political, I want to remind you Ukraine won because of politics, Russia was expelled because of politics, Sweden and Finland finished first and second the very same year they applied for NATO membership… but I guess the Ukrainian song was a masterpiece🤣, the Russian song had a copyright infridgment and that's why it was expelled (and not because of any political thing like war for instance🤣)and Finland and Sweden winning had nothing to do with Russia or NATO🤣… Also neighbouring countries never vote for each other🤣 like the Scandinavians never really vote for eachother but they are super objective and the same applies to Romania and Moldova, the Baltics etc. So the only problem in this so OBJECTIVE contest which is clearly about the best song, is two small countries voting each other on a stable basis. 🤣 So no it isn't an objective contest but even if it was, almost every artist that participates for Cyprus is Greek/Cypriot and vise versa. Greek music industry and Cypriot music industry are actually almost the same. So when Foureira for instance is a famous singer that lives in Greece and has its base and fans in Athens, when she is representing Cyprus of course she will get 12 points. Same with every artist as many artists that live in Greece are Cypriots (like Eleftheriou which sang Aphrodisiac in 2012 or even Anna Vissi who represented Greece in 2006). So Cypriots are representing Greece quite often and Greeks or Cypriots that have their base in Athens represent Cyprus quite often as well. My point is that when you see artists from other countries they are foreign to you, but when Cyprus and Greece have the same artists in their industries. Almost every Greek artist is known in Cyprus and almost every Cypriot singer is known in Greece.
