Evangelia doesn’t seem disheartened by the fact that she didn’t make it to the Eurovision stage this year. After finishing second in Greece’s national final, she remains determined to keep chasing her dream and declares she’s ready to try again.
Appearing as a guest on the TV show Super Katerina, Evangelia spoke about her professional plans, her journey so far, and of course, Eurovision.
“I would submit again for Eurovision. It’s my dream. Of course, on a human level, I was sad not to make it this year. But I always believe in destiny. What’s meant to happen will happen. This just wasn’t my year.”
Speaking about her past experience as a special education teacher in the U.S. and how she later transitioned into music, Evangelia shared:
“I was a teacher for three years, working with children with special needs. Then there were budget cuts in the school system, and that’s when I made the decision to become a singer. I wouldn’t say the path was easy, but many things fell into place. A few months later, I also met my partner, Jay.”
