ERT confirms Eurovision 2025 commentators

The dynamic duo are back in the game! ERT, the Greek national broadcaster, has unveiled that Maria Kozaku and Giorgos Kapoutzidis will be the Greek commentators at ther forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.

The dashing duo aka Maria Kozaku and Giorgos Kapoutzidis are back in the Eurovision game. Greek fans will be thrilled to know that the multi facetted duo will be heading to Basel to commentate the 2025 Eurovision edition for the Greek audience. Maria and Giorgos are very popular tv and radio figures in Greece and have great conaasisance when it comes to our beloved contest.

ERT’S official press release reads:

Eurovision’s favorite duo, Maria Kozakou and Giorgos Kapoutzidis , return to commentate on the top Song Contest for ERT viewers . The two commentators once again join their pens and voices to convey the pulse of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest , which will be held in Basel , Switzerland, from 13 to 17 May 2025 .

Maria Kozakou and Giorgos Kapoutzidis have been inextricably linked to Eurovision. They first presented the 2006 Contest in Athens , with Giorgos Kapoutzidis taking over the television broadcast and Maria Kozakou the radio. Maria Kozakou continued to present on the radio until 2011, when she became the voice of the television broadcast. In 2013, she met with the beloved screenwriter, director and actor, Giorgos Kapoutzidis, and together they wrote their own story in the Eurovision commentary.

Maria Kozakou and Giorgos Kapoutzidis are reuniting with the ERT audience for the live broadcast of the two Semi-Finals on May 13 and 15, 2025 and the Grand Final of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest on May 17, 2025 .

Giorgos Kapoutzidis will donate the symbolic fee of 1,500 euros that he will receive for commentating on Eurovision to the Panhellenic Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of People with Visual Impairments and Additional Disabilities “Amymoni.

Klavdia will represent Greece at ESC 2025 with her entry ‘Asteromata’.
