You can celebrate Greek culture with food, music, dancing, and family fun during GreekFest in St. Clair Shores this weekend.
Food is a huge part of the festival with options like lamb shanks, grape leaves, pastitsio, chicken kebobs, and more.
Another highlight of the festival is the dancing.
“Greece is so diverse culturally — in our music, our dancing. So you can see a lot of variety from dances all the way up north in Thessaloniki, all the way down to down south in Crete. And, we’ve got dancers from three years old all the way up into our adult years, so you’re going to get to see a really good variety and just how much fun and how much we love our culture,” explained dancer Christiana Zingas.
The lineup of entertainment will also include a performance from a former long-time Local 4 news anchor. Devin Scillian & Arizona Son will be performing on Saturday, Aug. 16th at 1:30 p.m.
GreekFest kicks off Friday, Aug. 15th and runs through Sunday, Aug. 17th at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in St. Clair Shores.
