Enjoy Greek food, music, and dance at the Boise Greek Food Festival

The annual Greek Food Festival invites you to enjoy two days of traditional Greek culture this weekend in Boise.

“We’re expecting to have some great weather, some great food, and some great entertainment for the festival this year,” said Taylor Dudunake, co-chair of the Greek Festival.

The festival is reaching its 43rd year, making it the longest-running food festival in Boise. Dudunake says the success of the festival comes from Idaho’s community.

“Every year, we have such an amazing turnout and positive reviews from everybody,” said Dudunake.

With lots of hard work and preparation from both organizers and volunteers, the Greek Food festival makes sure there is plenty of food to go around. This year, the staff has made more pastries than ever before.

“We’ve put together about 20,000 pastries by hand this year,” said Dudunake, “(the staff) upped the production because we know that this is one of the best sellers at the festival”

Despite being called a food festival, the Greek Food festival showcases both traditional music and dance as well.

“I think that one of the best things about the festival too is our authentic Greek dancing,” says Dudunake, “We have an awesome line up of dancers this year and some live Greek music as well.”

The festival will take place May 30th and 31st from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. The church is located at 2618 W Bannock St in Boise.
