Edgar Movsesyan Continues His Career in Greece

Armenian forward Edgar Movsesyan has joined Greek second-division club PAE Chania, based on the island of Crete. The 27-year-old striker moved to the Greek side from Cypriot second-tier club Omonia 1948.

Movsesyan’s new club is fighting to retain its place in Super League 2. After the current stage of the season, Chania sit 8th out of 10 teams in the Southern Group.

The parties have signed a six-month contract. The agreement also includes an option to extend the deal for one more season, which will be activated if the team avoids relegation.

During half of the season with Omonia 1948, Edgar Movsesyan played 12 matches, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.

A graduate of Yerevan’s Urartu academy, Movsesyan will wear the number 11 shirt at his new club.
