Five new easyJet routes from Manchester Airport to Spain, Greece, Turkey and France launched this week ahead of the summer holidays. The new destinations offer holidaymakers the choice between sunny city breaks or beach getaways.

EasyJet is now operating services to Izmir in Turkey, a coastal city which boasts incredible beaches and a chance to discover the country’s rich history and culture.

The Izmir flight launched on Monday, along with the airline’s new route to Spain’s capital Madrid, where tourists can sample the city’s museums, cuisine and nightlife.

This week the airline’s new service to Kalamata also began, providing customers access to nearby UNESCO Sites, Greek Taverners offering amazing cuisine, stunning beaches and plenty of water sports on offer.

Completing the line-up, easyJet’s new services to Larnaca and Rennes took off for the first time on Wednesday allowing customers to explore Cyprus’ beautiful shorelines and cultural heritage or visit the historic and picturesque city in Brittany, which is now just a short hop away.

The airline is also welcoming an extra Airbus A321 neo aircraft to be based in Manchester this summer, now the 23rd aircraft in total for its Manchester fleet, demonstrating the strong demand from customers in the north west.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: “It’s fantastic to be celebrating five new routes from Manchester taking off for the first time this week supported by the arrival of an extra aircraft.
