Don’t fly in to Newark. First of many warnings.

With the current government being headed by corrupt incompetents, some things are not going to work.

One of the most scary, of course, is air control.

Although the current government may not care about it, most people do. This is from the New York Post, which, even though owned by Murdoch, thought it worth publishing (Alex Oliveira)

Newark Liberty International Airport is “not safe” for travelers, one air traffic controller at the delay-plagued travel hub reportedly warned.

“It is not safe. It is not a safe situation right now for the flying public,” the federal air safety employee reportedly told NBC News correspondent Tom Costello.

“Really an incredible statement, unsolicited. He just said that to me, and separately, ‘Don’t fly into Newark. Avoid Newark at all costs,’” Costello recounted on MSNBC.

The airport, which served 49 million travelers in 2024 and is the second busiest in the New York City area, has been drowning in delays and cancellations for days.

In fact, before you travel, it may be best to check on the situations in the airports you plan to use. Search on “air control” and the name of the airport(s).

We can expect problems in many areas of our lives, and although we may not be able to avoid all — although we can always contact our representatives, and I suggest that everyone do that with respect to the FAA — we can take cautions in some areas.

Problems we have already seen:

  • The firing of people who oversee the nuclear stockpiles
  • Plans to cut back on milk inspection
  • Plans to let states roll back fluoride
  • Defunding of science

Many will know me as a good news roundup author, so usually I focus on just the good news of things. But I don’t want my peeps here to experience an accident.

🐦 I do a lot of other writing. Newest offerings: Messing with the Myths — two books so far in this series! Older offerings: the Crow Nickels (chronicles), about crows who want to save birdkind from extinction (Hunters of the  Feather). Mysteries based on Jane Austen’s novels, such as The Meryton Murders. Others based on history and Greek mythology, e.g., Jocasta: The Mother-Wife of Oedipus. All titles also available through Kindle Unlimited.
