Cypriot entry for Eurovision 2025 has been released – ESCBubble


On 2nd of September last year Theo Evan has been announced as the one who will be waving the Cypriot flag in Basel. In November last year his song was recorded in Athens and a month ago the recording of the music video for it took place. Moments ago the song has been released.

Evangelos Theodorou aka Theo Evan was born in Nicosia, and was interested in dancing and singing from an early age. He was performing in a wide variety of theatre productions and talent shows across Cyprus. Theo studied music and performance at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He released his first single “The Wall” back in 2021.

The team behind the song includes the famous Greek composer Dimitris Kontopoulos who is the one behind Eurovision entries of Greece (2009, 2017, 2020 and 2021), Azerbaijan (2013 and 2018), Moldova (2020 and 2021), Russia (2014, 2016 and 2019) as well as Cypriot entry last year “Liar” performed by Silia Kapsis. In addition to Kontopoulos the ones working on the song were Lasse Nymann and Linda Dale, the duo behind last years winning entry “The Code” in addition to that Linda was also one of the authors behind Alessandra’s “Queen of Kings” in 2023. The last author of Theo’s entry for Eurovision 2025 is the artist which competed twice to represent Norway singing her own songs in 2022 “Death of Us” and in 2023  “Love you in a dream” as well as the one who was the author of several other songs which competed in national finals of Norway, Luxembourg and Germany, Elsie Bay. The one in charge for the stage performance is Sergio Jaen.
