BRONX, NY – The Corfu by Night Dinner-Dance was hosted by the Othoni, Mathraki, Erikoussa, and Pan-Kerkyraikos societies on November 30 at Marina del Rey in the Bronx. The well-attended event featured great food and dancing well into the night with authentic Greek music performed by musicians directly from Corfu, Angelos Skolarikis and Ta Paidia ap’ to Garouna (‘The Guys from Garouna’), as well as Spartan Sounds DJ Bobby E. Karounos. Guests were especially impressed by the participation of the youth with many noting that it was one of the best dinner-dances in recent memory.
Among those present were Ionian Islands Regional Governor Ioannis Trepeklis and Deputy Regional Governor Eleni Papanastasatou along with many members of the St. Gerasimos Greek Orthodox Church in Manhattan.
