LOWELLVILLE — Christopher Frangos, 45, passed away in a four-wheeler accident, Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024.

He was born Nov. 15, 1978, in Youngstown. Chris was the fourth of five children of Larry S. Frangos Sr. and Kathy Frangos.

Christopher was a 1997 graduate of Poland Seminary High School and continued his education earning his bachelor’s degree in political science from Youngstown State University. Christopher also studied abroad in Greece, where he embraced the Greek culture of his heritage.

Christopher held many titles in his life, but his role as a father was his most cherished. He was adventurous and daring, and he loved to travel and spend time with his children, family and friends.

Chris is survived by his sons whom he adored, Alex and Leonidas Frangos; his parents, Larry S. Frangos Sr. and Kathy Frangos; his grandmother, Jane Mowery; his sisters, Katie Centofanti and Nicole Amadio; and his brothers, Spiro “Tyke” (Jennifer Barnett) Frangos and Larry S. (Julie) Frangos Jr. He always loved joking and laughing with them. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom shared in the many cherished events of his life and will miss him dearly.

Chris was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Spiro and Catherine Frangos; and his maternal grandfather, Bob Mowery.

The Frangos family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell. Family and friends will be received during calling hours at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Youngstown, 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 24. 2024. Funeral services will follow at noon Tuesday at the church, with Fr. Joseph DiStefano officiating.

Interment will be in Poland Riverside Cemetery, with a celebration of life to follow at The Fireplace in Poland.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, monetary donations be made to the family for Christopher’s children.
