Bwog’s Spring Bweak Playlist – Bwog

Whether you’re staying in NYC to enjoy the spring weather or jetsetting somewhere tropical, this playlist will provide all the good energy you need to have a great spring break.

In my opinion, music is the most important part of setting a mood. This spring break, I want to feel carefree, joyful, alive–I want to feel like that Instagram story LeBron James posted in his pool with the caption, “Smiling through it all! Can’t believe this is my life.” So, I’ve curated a playlist to hopefully curate that kind of energy for our week off. Here are some featured songs:

  1. “No Way To Relax When You Are On Fire” by Dora Jar: Dora Jar, you will always be famous. This song is so fun and you simply need to dance when it comes on. This is the opening track on the playlist because it sets the perfect stage for the target vibes.
  2. “Open My Door” by Alice Phoebe Lou: I used to open my door! To pretty much anyone who was tryna look for! A place to feel safe! But I made my whole world safer for everyone but me! She was so right when she wrote that!
  3. “Cole St.” by Dogs on Shady Lane: This song feels like what I imagine driving through a foresty New England road in the summer feels like. You can’t help but smile and feel a little unbridled joy when it comes on.
  4. “(You) On My Arm” by Leith Ross: A true love-struck bop to make you feel warm and fuzzy. I love love.
  5. “He Loves Me Yeah!” by Faye Webster: My baby loves me, yeah, he loves me, yeah. Like, I wish I had the confidence to sing about that. Plus, this song is just so groovy.
  6. “You Sent Me Flying/Cherry” by Amy Winehouse: Obviously Amy was a necessity, and I love this song. Frank is one of the best albums ever written and this song is so fun.
  7. “Petals on the Moon” by Wasia Project: Genuinely one of the most feel-good songs I can think of.
  8. “One More Weekend” by Maude Latour: This song is so NYC summer to me that I couldn’t help but put it on this playlist as a little bit of wishful thinking for some really warm weather.
  9. “40%” by The Army, The Navy: The lyricism! The groove! The Army, The Navy never disappoints, but this one is so fun and upbeat. It’s the perfect addition to a joyful little playlist.
  10. “Greek Song” by Rufus Wainwright: I could write a thesis on the entirety of Poses as an album, but I’ll give Greek Song the spotlight it deserves. It’s such a serene little song that really embodies the energy I want to bring into my spring break.
