MILAN, Italy – Harvard University baseball alumni Max Warren ’08, TJ Laursich ’16, and Noah Zavolas ’18 are all set to represent Greece at the 2025 WBSC European Championship with the Greek National Team set to compete in Group C in Novara, Italy during group play.
As part of the event, Greece will meet Lithuania on Sept. 20 at 4:30 a.m. ET, Switzerland on Sept. 21 at 4:30 a.m. ET, and Italy on Sept. 22 at 9:30 a.m. ET in group play at Comunale M. Provini Novara.
Knockout rounds include the play-in games (Sept. 23-24), quarterfinals (Sept. 25), semifinals (Sept. 26), and finals (Sept. 27). Rotterdam, Netherlands will host the knockout rounds beginning with the quarterfinals at Neptunus Familiestadion.
Warren earned both CSC Academic All-District and Academic All-Ivy accolades in 2008. He made 26 career appearances for the Crimson, totaling 72.0 innings pitched, a 5.12 ERA, and 41 strikeouts.
Laurisch made 49 career appearances for Harvard, ranking fourth in program history. Over his career, he notched a 4.83 ERA and 35 strikeouts over 69.0 innings.
Zavolas earned Ivy League Pitcher of the Year honors alongside First Team All-Ivy and Academic All-Ivy accolades. He threw Harvard’s last no hitter in a game against Yale on April 13, 2018. Zavolas was selected in the 18th round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners. He pitched four years in Minor League Baseball (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022), reaching the AA level.
