As the year winds down, Attica gears up to welcome 2025 with a lively concert at Pedion tou Areos’ Christmas Village in Athens on New Year’s Eve, December 31.
Invited by the Attica Region, Greek singer Christos Mastoras and the band Melisses are set to take the stage to ring in the new year, alongside other popular artists who will keep the audience entertained until the early hours.
Presenter Themis Georgantas is scheduled to kick off the festivities at 11 p.m., before handing the stage over to Christos Mastoras and Melisses, joined by the artists Zaf and ONEMANSHOW for an unforgettable celebration.
Music from MAD RADIO 106.2 will keep the outdoor celebration buzzing with energy until the early morning of the new year.
“This year, we invite you to celebrate the new year at the newly revitalized Pedion tou Areos, in the heart of Athens!” said Attica Governor Nikos Hardalias.
Free festive events until January 7
Until January 7, the Attica Region’s Christmas Village welcomes visitors of all ages to brighten the start of 2025 with diverse entertainment, educational activities, and unique concerts, all free of charge.
Every day, from 4:30 pm to 10 pm and on weekends from 10 am to 10 pm, visitors to the Village at Pedion tou Areos can look forward to many surprises, as the space has been fully upgraded, offering activities for all ages with full accessibility and enhanced safety.
Offering a full holiday experience, the Attica Region has organized a program featuring a state-of-the-art ice rink, a grand carousel, and a tasting booth with traditional delicacies and drinks. Visitors can also explore forty wooden houses offering handmade gifts, ornaments, and Christmas decorations.
Music for every taste
In addition to the New Year’s Eve concert, the program features musical events celebrating renowned Greek artists while offering young musicians a platform to showcase their talent.
Among the standout events is the performance of four youth bands on Friday, January 3. On Saturday, January 4, Eleni Tsaligopoulou, Melina Kana, and Fotini Velesiotou will grace the stage, celebrating the work of folk music icons Sotiria Bellou, Poly Panou, and Vicky Moscholiou.
