Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church’s annual Greek Food Festival in Campbell, Ohio from Sept. 26-28, 2025

CAMPBELL, Ohio (WKBN) – This weekend will be full of authentic, traditional Greek food and pastries, wine tasting, music, and dancing, and everyone is invited.

Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church’s annual Greek Food Festival kicks off Friday on 12th Street in Campbell. The three-day festival features Greek music and folk dance performances, cultural and religious items, Greek specialty coffee, wine tasting and sales, and games and activities for the kids.

Most importantly, the festival will feature traditional Greek food, and there will be a lot of it.

“The reason to come to this particular festival is because the food is extraordinary. In fact, I have to say, people have said from even out of state that this is the best food anywhere,” said Fr. Steve Denas of Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church. “The food is fresh, it’s authentic. It’s like from the old country.”

Sales from the food help to benefit the church, which attendees will also have a chance to tour around 3 p.m. each day of the festival.

“The money helps to keep the doors open, so to speak,” said Fr. Denas. “Also, to give us some capital where we might be able to be helping the community at large.”

When it comes to the food, it couldn’t be more authentic, Denas said.

“There is what we call the Village gyro, and that is very unique,” said Fr. Denas. “We have pastries of all kinds. We have Koulourakia, Baklava. There is Bougatsa. There is Loukoumades. They are like honey puffs. They’re like that dough that is fried in oil and sweetened with cinnamon and some sugar.”

The church is also excited to celebrate a very special anniversary.

“We are getting ready for the 70th anniversary at the top of November,” said Fr. Denas. “So we’re kind of energized starting from this festival onward, to really have a nice celebration of the 70th anniversary of this church.”

The Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Greek Food Festival is Friday, September 26, through Sunday, September 28. Friday and Saturday, the festival runs from noon to 10 p.m. and from noon until 9 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.

The church is located at 401 12th Street in Campbell. For more information, visit ArchangelMichael.oh.goarch.org.
