ALBANIA: An amazing “Second Night” for RTSH’s Festivali i Këngës 63!


For a second time in a row, Tirana’s Palace of Congresses opened its gates in order to host the Second Night of the 63rd edition of Festivali i Këngës. Enkel Demi and Omela Bregu hosted the show once again. The broadcast started at 21:10 CET and lasted for 3 hours.

The show opened with the presentation of the orchestra team. The two hosts with the help of the conductor Elton Deda presented each member by the sound of “Nuk të harroj”, the winning entry of FiK 26.

The rest of the fifteen acts performed live on stage tonight. All acts were evaluated by the jury. The jury was by 100% in charge of selecting the qualifiers for the Grand Final of the festival, who will be announced at the end of the Third Night. The jury members were: Merita Rexha Tërshana (Musician, Pianist), Alma Bektashi (Singer, Musician), Zana Çela (Director of National Agency of Tourism & Ex-Director of Theatre of Opera and Ballet), Florent Boshnjaku (Composer), Ylljet Aliçka (Writer), Jonida Maliqi (Singer and Representative of Albania at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest) and Ramona Tullumani (Opera Soloist Singer Artist).

In running order, the fifteen acts of the tonight’s show were:

02. “Dashuri ndiej” – Klea Dina (Music/Lyrics:Drenusha Zajmi, Klea Dina, Agron Dina)

03. “Ka momente” – Devis Xherahu (Music/Lyrics: Devis Xherahu, Ertemiona Mejdani, Marly & Santi)

04. “Lutem” – Vesa Smolica (Music/Lyrics: Eriona Rushiti)

05. “Bosh” – Algert Sala (Music/Lyrics: Algert Sala)

06. “E vërteta” – Gresa Gjocera (Music/Lyrics: Gresa Gjocera, Endrit Shani)

07. “Rreziko” – Frensi Revania (Music/Lyrics: Frensi Revania, Alban Male)

08. “Ishe ti” – Endrik Beba (Music/Lyrics: Endrik Beba)

09. “Kurajo dhe Zjarr” – Epos (Music/Lyrics: Algert Kashari)

10. “A Thu” – Laorjan Ejlli & Adelina Corraj (Music/Lyrics: Melita Vjerdha, Laorjan Ejlli)

11. “Kur nata vjen si bora” – Santino de Bartolo (Music/Lyrics: Santino de Bartolo)

12. “Sot” – Rea Nuhu (Music/Lyrics: Rea Nuhu)

13. “Karnaval” – Elvana Gjata (Music/Lyrics: Elvana Gjata, Lira Blakaj, Luisa Ionela Luca, Victor Bourosu)

14. “E kishim nis” – Stine (Music/Lyrics: Stine)

15. “Larg jetës pa ty” – Gjergj Kaçinari (Music/Lyrics: Gjergj Kaçinari)

Though Festivali i Këngës is not only for music and songs but also a stage for important messages. Throughout the show, personalities with strength and passion shared the stage shouting out their own stories and expressing how they became stronger and how they overcame the stereotypes of our society. In running order, those personalities were Brixhida Muça a public figure, mother of an autistic son, creator and administrator of “Lumturo Dhimbjen” for children who face cancer and autism and sisters Sarah and Ditea Berisha, daughters of former member of parliament Pëllumb Berisha.

The show included special guests as well! Famous Albanian singer Aleksandër Gjoka performed his hits “Ecën në shi” and “Ditë dimri” while dancer Klaudia Pepa performed on the delicate soles of her feet, supported by a monologue that she performed herself.
