Konstantinos Argyros and his artistic team are in shock following the tragic death of their sound engineer, Giannis Artopoulos, who lost his life in a car accident on the Egnatia Motorway in the early hours of Saturday while heading to a scheduled concert in Preveza.
The 51-year-old Artopoulos, a highly respected professional who worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry, leaves behind his wife and 12-year-old daughter. The news plunged the production team into mourning, leading to the postponement of Saturday’s concert, which was rescheduled for Sunday evening.
At the start of the concert, Konstantinos Argyros requested a minute of silence from the audience in memory of Giannis Artopoulos. Seven thousand people stood in silence as the lights dimmed, and the two large screens displayed the message:
“This concert is dedicated to our friend and colleague Giannis Artopoulos. We will never forget you.”
Visibly emotional at the end of the night, Argyros thanked the audience in Preveza and visitors from across Greece for their support during this symbolic evening.

“Tonight, we sang together… for life, for Giannis, for everything that unites us. Thank you for filling our hearts. Preveza will forever remain in our memory and soul,” he said.
