Cyprus has revealed its artist for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027: George Perris.
The announcement was made by the Cypriot broadcaster CyBC during the morning programme Omorfi Mera on RIK 1. For the third year in a row, Cyprus is the first country to reveal its Eurovision representative.
His song will be chosen at a live national selection. Following an open call for songs, eligible submissions will be evaluated and a committee appointed by CyBC will determine how many songs advance to the show. The date of the show and the number of competing songs have not yet been announced.
The winning song will be selected through a combination of public voting and an expert jury, each accounting for 50% of the result.
Songwriters can submit their songs until 13 December 2026 at 22:59 CET.
Cyprus last held a national final in 2015. Its Eurovision entries from 2017 to 2026 were selected internally.
