Konstantinos Argiros, Aleksandra Prijović, Željko Joksimović, Nenad Knežević Knez i Pol Lime burner, are just some of the names of stars, both domestic and from the global pop and DJ scene, who will perform during the three-day musical spectacle organized by the Municipality of Budva and the Budva Tourist Organization on the occasion of the New Year holidays.
This was confirmed by the “News” in the Municipality of Budva.
“Budva is once again pushing the boundaries and confirming that the New Year’s program is much more than traditional open-air concerts. Big international names, regional music stars and a world-class festival concept position Budva as one of the most attractive New Year’s destinations in Montenegro and the region. This year’s program brings a blend of different musical sensibilities, but also a clear message that Budva wants to lead the way in creating new tourist and festival content,” the organizers told “Vijesti”, who are presenting the New Year’s program to the public for the first time.
Budva has been one of the most popular destinations for more than two decades, visited by thousands of guests during the New Year holidays precisely because of the most attractive program.
This year, a breakthrough was made, with the engagement of Konstantinos Argiros, one of the biggest stars of the contemporary Greek music scene and a performer whose popularity has long since spread far beyond the borders of Greece.
Konstatinos Argyros will perform in Montenegro for the first time, and will hold a concert on December 30th on the large stage in front of the walls of the Old Town.
“His international success is confirmed by performances in some of the most prestigious concert venues in the world, including London’s Royal Albert Hall, New York’s Barclays Center, Chicago’s United Center and the famous Sydney Opera House, where he held three sold-out concerts in 2025. Argiros is much more than a regional music star. He is a performer who represents Greek music on the world’s largest stages, gathering audiences of different generations and nationalities. His arrival in Budva on December 30th represents a significant international breakthrough and confirmation of the city’s ambition to raise its New Year’s program to the level of major European destinations,” the organizers state.
Before the Greek music star, Aleksandra Prijović will perform that night, as the organizers point out, one of the most popular regional music stars, whose concerts regularly attract huge audience attention.
New Year’s Eve will be marked by performances by Željko Joksimović and Nenad Knežević Knez.
“Budva will thus enter the New Year with performers whose music has been connecting audiences across the region for decades,” the Municipality of Budva told “Vijesti”.
A special dimension to this year’s program comes on January 1st, when Budva, as they say, goes beyond the framework of classic New Year’s concerts and enters the world of large electronic festivals.
“At the center of this spectacle will be Paul Kalkbrenner, one of the most recognizable and influential names in the world’s electronic and techno scene. His international reputation is confirmed by performances at the world’s largest festivals and music stages, including ‘Tomorrowland’, ‘Awakenings’ and ‘Primavera Sound’, as well as performances in Ibiza. Kalkbrenner is the first techno artist to perform on the main stage of ‘Tomorrowland’. He is the author of the cult hit “Sky and Sand” and one of the most recognizable representatives of the Berlin electronic scene. His career, which has lasted more than two decades, has been marked by major festival performances, international tours and audiences that follow him around the world. He will be joined by SONA, the son of the legendary Black Coffee, who is building his own identity on the international electronic scene, as well as Klaas Brenner, which will give January 1st a completely different musical dimension,” the organizers announce.
This concept, as they emphasize, is not accidental.
“Budva hosted the EXIT and Sea Dance festival events last summer, confirming its potential to be a major international festival stage. The continuation of such a program orientation during the New Year holidays sends a clear message: Budva is developing a new direction in the organization of music festivals, connecting the summer festival tradition with major winter and New Year events. This is a step forward from the usual model of New Year’s programs. Instead of relying exclusively on concerts by regional performers, Budva is developing a concept that unites international music stars, electronic music, festival production and a contemporary tourist offer,” the Municipality of Budva said.
As they emphasize, the uniqueness of this year’s program lies in its diversity and international character.
“From Konstantinos Argiros, who fills the most prestigious concert halls in the world, to the biggest regional music names, to Paul Kalkbrenner, who belongs to the very top of the world electronic scene. Budva thus does not remain just a destination for summer vacations and festivals, but builds a recognizable musical identity throughout the year. While other cities mostly remain within the framework of traditional New Year’s concerts, Budva is developing a three-day musical spectacle that connects different genres, generations and international audiences. This is the difference between an ordinary New Year’s program and a destination that creates an event with international resonance. Budva does not follow trends – Budva wants to set them,” said the Municipality of Budva.
